It's a Thought

I do wonder what lies ahead of me
And seldom do I like what I see
It’s best not to dwell on it for too long
As simple tasks I could do I know are gone
A break in the circuit inside my brain
Is perhaps the best way to explain
With the missing links gone for good
We are so often misunderstood
Spend some time battling to get out of bed
No new ideas inside my head
Rock back and forth and hope for the best
It’s a new day of challenges to put to the test
I want to walk faster and get out of your way
But the message to my legs has gone astray
I hear you tutting I’m certainly not deaf
You’re really not helping just giving me stress
This could be you in years to come
But please take note you can still have fun
We’re all the same in our own special way
And wake up thinking will this be a good day?
