How you can help

Our Charity Trustees are volunteers and we have no paid employees, however we pay the qualified professionals who lead our various exercise sessions and other activities. Our participants make voluntary contributions towards class costs, but as a charity we are reliant on external funding for more than 50% of the total spend. We are very grateful to everyone who helps to support us in so many different ways, through external grants, fundraising events and donations and of course by volunteering and spreading the word generally. Membership of AIMS costs £20 per year, with a voluntary donation of £5 per class or £30 per month to attend as many classes as you want.

FUNDRAISING

Some examples below of the fundraising events our members and supporters have organised on AIMS behalf over the last few years. Unfortunately we could not highlight all of them here, however we extend a massive thank to each and every one!

Nicola, one of our MS members and her friend, who challenged themselves to complete a sponsored swim of Loch Morlich for AIMS and raised over £1600. Nicola's story was picked up by the local media. Read more about Nicola's journey in our News Section.

Sarah Bruce, NHS  and her team successfully tamed the Banchory Beast. They kindly chose AIMS as their charity of choice and raised almost £800.

DONATING

Euan Gregory, son of our Treasurer John, recently applied to the Societe Generale UK Foundation on behalf of AIMS and was successful in obtaining a donation of £2500 as part of their Bright Futures Fund. Many thanks to all!

A very generous donation of £920 from the family of the late Mary Ross, a lovely lady and an inspiration to many. Read more about Mary's story.

A massive thank you to Aberdeen Student Charities Shows who donated over £4,400 to AIMS! Your dedication and hard work in staging these annual productions has made a huge difference to so many local charities and we are extremely appreciative of your efforts.
